Head of Athena Parthenos to right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet adorned with Pegasos and long tendril on the bowl, and with the foreparts of four horses above the visor. Rev. APO-ΠOΣ / MNA-ΣA-ΓO / AΠ[O]Λ Owl standing facing on amphora; to right, twinged figure of Agon, standing facing, crowning himself and holding palm branch; on amphora, Γ; in exergue, ΑΠ; all within laurel wreath. Thompson 997 c-d var. (uncertain letter on amphora). Struck from worn dies and with a scrape on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
